Koblenz is divided into the Neustadt, the new city, and Altstadt, the old city, which you should stroll starting from the <strong>Deutsches Eck, <\/strong>offering great views of both rivers meeting point, the bridges, cruise ships and the town.<\/p>\n<p>Visiting the city the TheTjoy.com recommends considering a visit to the following attractions including;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Take the 900 meters long cable car, <strong>Koblenz Seilbahn,<\/strong> from Deutsches Eck across the river to the 19<sup>e<\/sup> si\u00e8cle <strong>Ehrenbreitstein Fortress<\/strong>, where you will explore the corridors maze, the walls, and the battlements remains.<\/li>\n<li>Enjoy the archaeological and historic artifacts collections and temporary exhibitions in the <strong>State Museum of Koblenz<\/strong> within the fortress.<\/li>\n<li>Back in the old city, visit the 13<sup>e<\/sup> century Romanesque\u00a0<strong>Basilica of St. Castor<\/strong>\u00a0with its four towers, the nearby <strong>Jesuitenplatz Square <\/strong>with the Schangel Fountain, and the <strong>Electoral Palace, <\/strong>Schloss Koblenz, and its beautiful Gardens.<\/li>\n<li>Continue south along the Rhine to the Gardens of Empress Augusta, <strong>Kaiserin-Augusta-Anlagen<\/strong>, with its colorful flowerbeds, towering trees, and sculptures.<\/li>\n<li>In the new city visit the <strong>DB Museum<\/strong> and its collection of more than 20 vintage steam locomotives and carriages and the <strong>Wehrtechnische Studiensammlung, <\/strong>one of Germany\u2019s biggest military technology exhibitions, including aircrafts, tanks, and much more.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The major attractions of Koblenz are the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/thetjoy.com\/fr\/attraction\/stolzenfels-castel\/\">Stolzenfels Castel<\/a>, <\/strong>7 km to the south, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/thetjoy.com\/fr\/attraction\/marksburg-castle\/\"><strong>Marksburg Castle<\/strong><\/a> farther south.
