The Dachau Concentration was the first to be built under Hitler&#8217;s order in Germany and it was freed by the US Army in April 1945. The German SS held in the camp more than 200,000 prisoners; Jews, Romany, and others from countries that Germany occupied or invaded, of which 40,000 people were murdered in the camp in sheer brutality.<br \/>\nThe Concentration Camp memorial includes documentary exhibit, the grounds of the former prisoners\u2019 camp, the camp crematorium, the bunker, and the reconstructed prisoners&#8217; barracks.
