The highly popular waterfall is part of the Skaftafell National Park famous for its diverse and overwhelming landscapes, 54 km west of the <a href=\"https:\/\/thetjoy.com\/fr\/attraction\/jokulsarlon-the-glacier-lagoon-and-the-diamond-beach\/\"><strong>Glacier Lagoon<\/strong><\/a>.<br \/>\nHallgr\u00edmskirkja, the largest church in Reykjav\u00edk and the National Theatre were designed using structure elements resembling Svartifoss\u2019 columns and Thor\u2019s hammer.<br \/>\nTo reach the Svartifoss Fall take road 998 heading 1.5 km northwest off the Ring Road to the waterfall visitors center, then hike a moderate trail for 45 minutes to the waterfall.<\/p>\n\n    <div class=\"xs_social_share_widget xs_share_url after_content \t\tmain_content  wslu-style-1 wslu-share-box-shaped wslu-fill-colored wslu-none wslu-share-horizontal wslu-theme-font-no wslu-main_content\">\n\n\t\t\n        <ul>\n\t\t\t        <\/ul>\n    <\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Black Fall is a 20 meters high waterfall framed by black hexagonal basalt columns with its water falling into a beautiful small pool.
