J.-C., situ\u00e9 \u00e0 3 km \u00e0 l'ouest d'Amesbury et \u00e0 55 km au sud-est de Bath. Le site principal se compose de menhirs dispos\u00e9s en cercle de 33 m\u00e8tres de diam\u00e8tre, chacun mesurant environ 4 m\u00e8tres de haut et 2 m\u00e8tres de large, et pesant environ 25 tonnes. Le site comprend plusieurs centaines de tumulus.<\/p>\n<p>On estime que ce site servait, entre autres, de cimeti\u00e8re. The main site consists of standing stones arranged in a 33 meters ring, each ~4 meters high and ~2 meters wide, weighing ~25 tons. The site includes several hundred burial mounds. It is estimated that the site was used as a burial ground among other purposes. Various exhibitions at the excellent visitor center presents possible methods for the site construction, and the Neolithic life and tools at the time it was built. Its highly recommended to purchase tickets in advance to avoid the ques and secure the
