The church has been renovated periodically until the 19th century, hence it incorporates a mix of Gothic, Catalan, Norman and Arabic architectural styles and artifacts. The main attractions in the Cathedral are the Roman royal tombs of Frederick II and Roger II, the treasury, a simple 17th century solar observatory, and the great panoramic views from the Cathedral roof.
