To explore the full richness of the peninsula, hike the challenging 6 km PR8 trail, Vereda da Ponta de Sao Lourenco, going up and down the hills. In summer consider the heat and prepare yourself accordingly.
The trail starts where the road from the port city of Canical ends. Alternatively, a boat trip around the peninsula will be also rewarding.
