The waterfall is considered one the most powerful waterfalls in Europe. The must-see waterfall is better to admire from the east bank of the Jokulsla river.<br \/>\nThe waterfall water crashing down creates a roar and a mist that can be heard and seen from a distance.<br \/>\nThe Dettifoss Fall is 36 km south of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/thetjoy.com\/de\/attraction\/asbyrgi-canyon\/\">Asbyrgi Canyon<\/a><\/strong>, and 38 km north of The Ring Road.<br \/>\nSelfoss Fall, a very wide and unique 11 meters high waterfall, is 1 km upriver south of the Dettifoss Fall, and the Hafragilsfoss Fall, a 27 meters high and impressive waterfall, is 2.5 km downriver north of the Dettifoss Fall.
