A beach resort town on the Mediterranean Sea in the Turkish Riviera, 125 km west of Fethiye and 264 km southeast of Izmir. Settlement in the area is traced back to ~12,000 BC, and a Greek harbor town was on site in the 6th century BC.

Located between mountains by the sea, Marmaris surrounding Beach Resorts are rich with beautiful beaches, bays and coves, and beautiful modern hotel resorts of all price level. The town is a center of Yachting, sailing and diving, with two major and several smaller marinas with all the boating facilities.

The town and surroundings offer everything needed for a great vacation including busy and secluded beaches, numerous nearby and day tour attractions, bars and restaurants.
In town, you will find various shopping opportunities including the Thursday Armutalan market and the Wednesday Icmeler market, the Grand Bazaar, and the upscale harbor shopping area.

The Bar Street in the old town near the marina, offers numerous bars and night clubs for vibrant nightlife and rich clubbing scene.
And for local delights, relax and enjoy for few hours in a Turkish bath, and at night enjoy a “Turkish night” including local dining, entertainment, and Turkish dancing performance.

Take a boat day cruise around the bay and the secluded coves, to the nearby islands and neighboring towns (Icmeler, Turunc, and others), to the ancient Lycian city of Kaunos, and to many more destinations.

To reach Marmaris you can use the Dalaman Airport, 95 km southeast of Marmaris, and the Bodrum airport 142 km west of town.
