• The Newport Transporter Bridge

A transporter bridge over the River Usk in Newport, one of six still used worldwide. The bridge has a suspended movable Gondola that transports cars and passengers across the Usk River in just two minutes.

Visitors can climb the 54 meters towers and walk across the upper deck for great views of the surroundings. A Visitor Centre on the west bank has exhibits presenting the history of the bridge and its construction.
