• The Holy Monastery of Varlaam

Close to the Monastery of Great Meteoron, it’s the second biggest monastery of Meteora. The monastery was founded on the 14th century and was reactivated in the 16th century. Enjoy the beautiful 16th century frescos in the chapel of All Saints and explore the tower with the old pully system and net used by the first monks to bring up people and provisions. In the museum, admire the painted Renaissance religious icons, and the holy vestments of the priests from the Byzantine period.
