• The East Side Gallery

A highly popular open-air gallery of more than 100 wall paintings on a 1.3 km section of the Berlin wall in Mühlenstraße, between the Berlin Ostbahnhof and the Oberbaumbrücke. The open-air gallery is part of the Berlin Wall Memorial, a reminder of the hostility that once divided Europe. The beautiful and inspiring artworks, commenting on the political events related to the wall fall, were prepared by 118 artists from 21 countries following the Berlin Wall fall in 1989. The Gallery is a monument to the fall of the wall, and it is a heritage protected landmark. Explore also the wall watch tower and the interactive displays placed along the wall.
