• Serra de Tramuntana

Explore the Mallorca’s western limestone mountain range with its steep mountain cliffs against the Mediterranean Sea, the water streams, winding cobbled paths, rural farms and small towns. The mountains area is heaven for hikers to enjoy raw and undeveloped landscapes with the Mediterranean as a background, while visiting traditional villages and hidden coves.
One of Mallorca’s most scenic drives is the Ma10 (west) coastal road, especially between andratx and valldemossa, with the nice little villages of estellencs and banyalbufar on the way. Further north on the Ma 10 the coastline is characterized by small turquoise bays surrounded by forest covered sheer cliffs, such as in port-de-soller, Cala de Valldemossa, cala-de-sa-calobra-cala-tuent and others along the way.
One of the most impressive landscapes of the serra de tramuntana is the Barranco de Biniaraix canyon in Soller. On the Ma 10 on the way to Cuber, consider hiking the Sa Fordada trail, walking through olive groves and cliffs dotted with caves, and enjoy one of the best sunset viewpoints. Start your hike at son marroig on the west coast and the Ma10 road.
