A beautiful municipality and town on the island’s northwestern coast offering picturesque villages, volcanic sea caves, valleys, vineyards,
a large Laurissilva Forest rich with Flora and Fauna, and many hiking trails.
Visit the lively town center, stroll the cobbled streets with the open-air cafes and restaurants, and visit the small and highly decorated 17th century Igreja Matriz de Sao Vicente church.
The Sao Vicente Beach offers good surfing conditions, sunbathing area, a restaurant and a bar. Popular water sports in the beach are surfing and bodyboarding.
The Sao Vicente Caves, Grutas de Sao Vicente, are Volcanic tunnels to be explored via a 700 metres-long underground trail including Volcanic Stalactites, lakes,
and 5-6 meters high tunnels. The caves were closed due to a recent earthquake. Verify that the volcanic tunnels were reopened prior to your visit.
