• Raufarholshellir Lava Tunnel

A magnificent natural phenomenon the result of a volcanic eruption, its one of the longest and most popular underground lava tunnels in Iceland, 42 km southeast of Reykjavik.
The main tunnel is 900 meters long, 30 meters wide and 10 meters high, with additional smaller branches at its end. Near the tunnel entrance beautiful three magnificent light columns resulted from ceiling collapse in addition to magnificent ice sculptures formed in the winter.
