A Renaissance palace commissioned by Luca Pitti in the 15th century and designed by Brunelleschi, to be later bought by the Medici family.

The Palace is home to part of the Medici family’s private collection, and additional collections of Renaissance artworks, fashion and costumes, silver, and jewelry.

In the palace beautifully designed series of rooms from the 19th century House of Savoy, 17th century frescos, and a modern art gallery, all arranged in 5 “Museums”.

The Renaissance art Palatine Gallery includes 16th – 18th centuries artworks, by the like of Raphael, Titian, Rubens, Botticelli, Caravaggio, and Fra’ Filippo Lippi.

The Modern Art Gallery presents artworks from the 18th and 19th centuries, dominated by artists of the Florentine Macchiaioli school.
