A beautiful hill town 8 km south of Palermo, located on the slope of Monte Caputo and overlooking the valley of La Conca d’oro. The town main attraction is the impressive 12th century Norman-Byzantine Cathedral, a mix of Norman, Arab and Byzantine artworks, and architecture. The Cathedral is highly decorated with magnificent colorful, Glass and Gold Leaf coated Mosaics. Also in the Cathedral, an extravagant Romanesque Bronze door covered with scenes from the Bible by Bonanno pisano, and the tombs of both William I and his son William II kings of Sicily.
