• London Tower

His Majesty’s Royal Palace and Fortress of the Tower of London is a castle on the north bank of the River Thames. The castle was founded in the 11th century as part of the Norman Conquest of England, where the White Tower in the castle was built by William the Conqueror.

The highly popular tourist’s attraction is a complex of several buildings set within two concentric rings of defensive walls and a deep moat. Throughout the years the castle was used as a prison, a royal residence, an armory, a treasury, and a Royal Mint, and as the home of the Crown Jewels of England.

Explore the White Tower, its three floors and rooms and the crypt of St John’s Chapel, the castle defensive wall and its 13 towers and the Royal Mint. In the Jewel House in the Waterloo Block, admire the displays including numerous gemstones, the 800 years old Coronation Spoon, St. Edward’s Crown and the Imperial State Crown.

Watch for the Ravens in the castle which are kept based on the belief that if they are absent the kingdom will fall. Look for Anne Boleyn Ghost which supposedly haunts the Church of St Peter ad Vincula in the Tower where she is buried and has been said to walk around the White Tower carrying her head under her arm.
