• Kappele Würzburg

A small, picturesque 18th century pilgrimage Baroque-Rococo chapel by Balthasar Neumann, on the Nikolausberg hill west of the River Main. On the way to the chapel and its bud domes, climb more than 300 steps and enjoy on the way 77 carved figures by the court sculptor Johann Peter Wagner. In the chapel admire numerous frescoes by Matthias Günther, a fabulous Neoclassical altar and ornamental stuccowork.
