A beautiful small town, one of the largest in Tyrol, Austria, 62 km west of Innsbruck. In summer, the Imst region offers beautiful hiking and cycling trails, rafting in the Imster Schlucht canyon, and rock climbing in the town’s climbing center, Kletterhalle Imst, considered one of the best in Austria. Enjoy the 3.5 km Alpine Coaster starting at the Hoch Imst summit, considered the longest Toboggan in the world.
Hike along the beautiful and green Rosengartenschlucht Gorge which starts in the town’s center and enjoy powerful stream and beautiful wooden sculptures all the way to the end where you will find a beautiful Blue Cave. its highly recommended to visit Area 47 in Oetztal Bahnhof,13 km east of Imst, considered the largest outdoor extreme and leisure park in Austria.
Visit the Umhausen holiday region and valley, 37 km Southeast of town, to explore and enjoy its special attractions, the famous Otzi Dorf Museum, the high Stuiben Waterfalls, Stuibenfal, the Birds of Prey Park, Greifvogelpark, and the famous Engelswand Parkplatz climbing area. And if you continue east to Innsbruck visit the unique Stams Abbey, 24 km east of town.
