• Funchal Cathedral

A 16th century Roman Catholic Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption, Se Catedral de Nossa Senhora da Assuncao, built in Manueline, Gothic styles.
The highly decorated cathedral includes an impressive altar with gilded woodwork, sculptures and oil paintings, a remarkable Mudejar Cedar wood ceiling, wooden choir stalls magnificently crafted with 16th century decorations.
Also in the Cathedral  18th century blue and white tiles panels, and a silver processional cross, a masterpieces of Manueline liturgical silverwork.
