• Charlottenburg Palace

Schloss Charlottenburg is a 17th century Baroque palace, Berlin’s largest and most magnificent palace. The palace was built by King Friedrich I of Prussia for his wife Sophie Charlotte to be the summer royal residence. In the palace, halls, galleries and state rooms magnificently and richly decorated in baroque and rococo styles. In the palace grounds a large formal garden and English landscape park surrounded by woodland, including a Tea House with a large Porcelain collection, a royal mausoleum, a neo classical pavilion, and a garden cafe.
Enjoy the new wing with its rococo decorated ballroom, the Golden gallery, the richly decorated state rooms, and the great walls and ceiling’ Frescoes. Explore the period furniture, painting and sculptures, mirrors, magnificent tableware, the remaining items of Prussian crown jewels, and more. In December, a beautiful Christmas Market is held in the palace courtyard.
