A small Medieval town on the Loire River, 37 km northeast of Blois. Stroll the streets of the town historic center around the 11th century Caesar Tower and Place Saint-Firmin, and along the river near the long bridge over the Loire River. Visit the Dunois Castle, a grand renaissance townhouse, the beautiful 16th century town hall, the 12th century Roman Church of Saint-Etienne used for art exhibitions, and the 12th century Abbey of Notre-Dame with its beautiful stained glass windows and the wood carved baroque altarpiece. Near town visit the grand and most impressive Chateau de Chambord and the lovely historic town of Blois.
