• Aladaglar National Park (Aladaglar Milli Parki)

The Aladaglar Park is home to the Central Taurus Mountains known as the Alps of Turkey, south of Cappadocia and east of Nigde, 130 km south of Urgup and Goreme. The Zamanti river flows in the park where you will enjoy streams, craggy limestone ranges and high plateau dotted with glacier lakes, Pine and Fir forests. While in the park enjoy the magnificent and famous Kapuzbasi seven Waterfalls flowing out of the bare cliffs.
Explore the beautiful Emli, Hacer, and Narpuz Valleys, and the Yedigoller and Aciman (Acısu) Plateaus with Glacier lakes scattered around. In the park enjoy a variety of Flora and Fauna, the famous Capra ibex, wild boar, wolfs, wild goats, bears, lynx and sable, singing birds, and birds of prey such as the rock eagle, bearded vulture, and the peregrine falcon. Also in the park, the elusive Caspian snowcock, which makes the high peaks of the Taurus mountains its home and is the goal of bird enthusiasts from all over the world.
There are quite a few outdoor activities opportunities in the park including hiking, rafting, and canoeing in the Zamanti river, mountain biking, para gliding and more. The popular hiking trail starts at the small villages of Demirkazık and Çukurbağ, where you could also get travel information in the local inn.
The climate in the park is quite extreme, with hot summers and very cold and snowy winters, with snowcapped peaks all year round.
